Since somebody's going to ask, winning the fourth round will be worth an
additional 220 ranking points. So if Dokic beats Kleybanova, she'll
move up to about #91.

Please don't answer questions before they're asked, it's bad for the
post-count.

Well, the Discounted Post-Count (adjusted for weight).

For the record I did have a question, which was "What would Dokic's ranking
be if she won the 4th round?" or more generally "Would it put her in the
top 100?"

(Maybe I should dig out my old WTA rankings spreadsheet and start updating
it again, but for now it looks like I don't need to.)

Yes I hope she wins another round, it would be nice to see her pop straight
back into the top 100. I note though that she's back to her old tricks,
dropping a set in every match just to keep everyone on the edge of their
seats. I do hope the BBC broadcast some of her matches, trouble is their
coverage of non-British players tends to be very mercurial.

Hell, if all us 'Murricans had was ESPN, all we'd ever see would be the
Top Ten and Americans, and whoever played them.

Tennis Channel is a _little_ better, if only because forced to be by split
coverage, with ESPN creaming off the Top Ten and Americans . . . .

Apparently you don't have DirecTV. Otherwise, you'd get coverage of
five courts on the AO Mix Channel. While ESPN were showing S.
Williams/Peng; the mix channels were showing Suárez Navarro/Martínez
Sánchez and Medina Garrigues/Pennetta, as well as one of the men's
matches and a doubles match.

They also showed Kuznetsova and her 40852843752457654098098732 unforced
errors, but I don't know if anybody really wanted to see *that*.

Oh, really? along with ESPN and TC?

And yet she won . . . .

Check channel 701, which has a guide to all six channels with little
pictures of what's being aired on each of them. I think Sunday is the
last day of it, though.
