Subject: A dose of reality for Federer fans
I predicted before Federer won the US that he would win 15 slams
before he retires and I stand by my prediction. Federer fans jumped in
with predictions of over 20 slams and return to glories of past 4-1/2
years. That will not happen.
Federer will win a slam here and there but he will have to work hard
for them. Why is that so terrible for Federer and for Federer fans?
Becker said it best when he said that tennis is just a game. I recall
that asshole Bud Collins who breathlessly asked Becker what happened
when he lost Wimbledon. Federer should talk to Becker to fix his
bearings. Becker said that it was not a war and nobody got killed.
Maybe real men do cry but not over a lousy tennis match.

I heard Sampras used to go the locker room very mad and angry,
breaking everything there after losing.
Also Nadal cried after losing Wimbledon. The only problem with Federer
is that he couldn't control it for 15 minutes, my guess the emotions
were very high during the match and it shows how much he cared about
winning that match.
Again, you can't compare Roddick, Henman, and others to Federer in the
crying department, Federer was not used to lose slam finals, my guess
he is getting used now.

Exactly. The is nothing wrong with cying, if it is over something
important. Crying like a baby in public, because you lost a tennis
match, is pretty low. Roddick never cries like a baby. How shitty must
Henman have felt after losing that Wimbledon match to Ivanisevic? Did
he cry like a baby? It's not about being macho, no one would call
Henman macho, it's about have some dignity and self-control.

Fed of course is not a real man but a bitch.
