Didn't saw the first & second set, won by Andreev 6/4 6/4
I switched it on after Tsonga's impressive & close won over Lubo, was
near the end of the third set...
Breakpoints on each side, Andreev wasn't that far from taking it in
straight.
Gulbis eventually won that third set, and has a break in the fourth,
now having a third BP for a 5/1 lead (previous saved, you had
guessed!)...
This one has been saved too...

I like the kid very much, hope he'll get a fifth set, and why not a
victory after having lost the first two sets?
I like his game so much, powerfull & finesse... He mostly need to
learn how to better balance between his choices.
And cut off UE, especially on BPs in his favour.

Still, he's hitting many winners, including good volleys & dropshots.
A kind of game not that usual these days...
Now 5/3 in the fourth, Gulbis to serve for a final set.

Share & Enjoy,
Manolo

++ Ya, Gulbis plays like the rich kid he is... not enough 'fight' in
his game...

Too bad... Andreev won the last 4 games in a row, and the match while
I was eating!
Anyone watched the end of that one?
Was Gulbis tired?
Did he played too conservative?

A shame. It would have been huge for Gulbis to win his first 5-setter,
especially after being down 2 sets.

He lost his concentration when he did mistakes. He is very talented, but
has very much to learn when it comes to attitude on court.

PS.

Gulbis got an early break, than wasted 2 balls for a 3/1 lead. (40-15)
Back to deuce on Ernests serve, twice.
Hope he won't regret his 40-15, since he made a double fault, giving
Andreev a BP...
Saved, plus nice serve & BH diag-combo: ad Gulbis.
Game Gulbis (ace) 3/1
