Subject: Anybody remember Henin?
These guys on ESPN go on and on about Serena. Sure Serena is one of
the all time greats. But listening to them, you would think she is
capable of walking on water. There is hardly anybody talking about the
midgets Serena is beating up on for her grand slam glory. It is easy
against all these one-dimensional ball-bashers who cannot just serve.
Then against Henin, she lost all the grand slam matches in 07. Serena
and Venus are just filling in the void left by Henin. To Henin's
credit, she at least beat Williamses. Who is Serena having to beat to
get the grand slams? This must be one of most barren times on the
women's tour.

Baseline bashers maybe. Rafa clones, no way. This guy will be a unique
player in tennis history, imo.

Did you watch the defense he played in that semi? There's no way that
can be taught. That's God-given talent and athleticism just like Fed's
effortless play, Agassi's timing, Mac's touch are God-given talents.

I think we all miss Henin. To me she was the only reason to watch
women's tennis. Now it is only about how hard you can hit that ball from
the baseline. No variety, no finesse, nothing. Even slices are gone from
the women's game.

PS.

This is not true. But it will definitely be extremely sad. I am not
looking forward to that moment.

Truer words could not be said, But Williams-fuckers will continue to insist
that everything is just fine.
