It's better to lose exclusively to the 2nd best player in the world
than it is to lose many others. This way you win more and beat more

If so, than it must be better to have a losing record against the four
month younger, seventh best player in your era and with all matches
exclusively on preferred surfaces than against this five year younger,
2nd best player in your era with most losses coming at your worst
surface?
