Straight set loss to Tsonga. Djokovic needs to start winning some matches
against the better players otherwise he's going to crash out the top 10.

He'll stay in the top 10, but never match the hype of a year ago. Some
of us were saying then that dull, regimented Djoko would turn out to
be a dud, and that is just what's happened. I expect he'll continue
with Roddick-like results, and maybe manage one more slam (probably
another AO) before his career is over.

Yes but none of these *experts* expected Nadal to recover so quick for
AO final and be able to play two back to back 5 hour matches either.
Maybe he is just a freak, and will be maintaining his intensity all
the way to his late 20's?

No, the second, but these things take time and anyone can see his
physical problems are getting worse and more frequent. At Fed's age
now he will not be making finals and winning or even losing by a
whisper.. er whisker. His game is completely physical and he will have
no longevity whatsoever. All the experts agree on that and even
whisper knows it which is why he touts him because he has no chance of
surpassing Pete while Federer is at heaven's door with Nadal being his
only hope of stopping him.

Remember that you soured on Murray too and then had to change your
mind again. Djoke
played well in this match. Easily top 8 material. Tsonga was just too
good on the day. No way is Djoke
going out of the top 10 any time soon.

Gulbis
Nieminen
Roddick
Chardy
...and now Tsonga

Seems unlikely he can remain in the top 5 with these kind of performances
and from there who knows.

he hasn't lost to Chardy. Ferrer did.
