Nadal never loses to old players. Haas is 31. Nuff said.

Nadals knees will have to come into play for him too lose , hes too
mentally strong - unless hes playing terribly or Haas is playing well
- for him to lose .

But I agree Haas does usually play well here and - if he can get that
backhand going / serve he could edge him out.

I dont see easy win for Haas but I could see an easy one for Nadal .

When was the last time a single-handed BH player other than Federer
beat Nadal on a Hard Court? Without looking at any stats, I think it
was Gonzo at the AO in 2007. No matter what they do, the single handed
BH will eventually be broken by Nadal's FH, unless the player has some
other MAJOR weapons, and Haas, doesnt seem to fall in that category.

It will depend on how well Haas serves. If he serves 80% first serve
wide out like Gonzo did, then there is a chance. Haas does have decent
volleying skills to give Nadal trouble.

I just don't see that happening though.
