He was not a blubbering mess, there were a few tears but nothing any high-achieving pro athelte hasn't done in a locker room after a huge, crushing defeat. You people are trying to spin it like he was Jana Novotna out there. Well, my singular joy is in knowing that you pathetic assclowns who will never achieve 1% of Federer's greatness. Keep on tearing him down, I'm pretty sure if Rafa knew about you people he'd be disgusted.

No, he wasn't blubbering, and I _did_ feel for Roger - the massive weight of expectations he has built up for himself, and the nice ovation he received, could send anyone over the edge. I certainly understand why Federer would lose it. That being said, he has to be able to hold himself together _until_ the locker room when he loses. It's not fair to Rafa, who's a thoroughly decent guy, to have to temper his celebration in order to not pile on his emotional archival. First last year's French Open, and now this. Rafa deserves the limelight to be on him, and to not have to worry about subduing his own emotions to accommodate Federer, as much as he may seem willing to do so. Hopefully, Fed will somehow use this to make the changes to his game he needs to make to take one of these from the Spaniard. They are two amazing players, and we're very lucky to be seeing all this brilliant tennis taking place before us. Cheers. -- Vent "Down the toilet, lookit me, What a silly thing ta do! I'm pretty sure if Rafa saw your many, many quality posts about himself and Federer, such as this: http://groups.google.com/group/rec.sport.tennis/browse_thread/thread/58e507= d34d8a47a2?q=3D to give just one illustrious example, he would in no way be disgusted. Not at all. Keep up the good work -- we need an incorruptible constabulary. Joe Ramirez
