Subject: If we consider YEC and weeks as #1 as key factors for GOAT
If we consider YEC and yrs as #1 as key factors, i.e. equal to slams,
for GOAT for Open Era players we have the following:

Sampras 25 pts
Fed 21 pts
Lendl 17 pts
Borg 15 pts
Connors 14 pts
McEnroe 14 pts
Agassi 10 pts
Becker 9 pts
Edberg 9 pts
Wilander 8 pts
Nadal 7 pts

Thus since Lendl played in a much tougher era than either Sampras or
Fed, his claim to GOAT-hood still certainly holds up.

You mean Becker/Graf. This comes more to the truth (Becker-Lendl 3-0
in slam finals)

There is no such system. Lets all drop our ammos, hold hands, laugh

so isnt Sampras. He had 62% win rate on clay FFS!

YE#1 mean nothing. You have go by weeks. If you go by both weeks as#1
and YEC Lendl and Sampras are tied. But Lendl made more YEC finals and
also Sampras got free 8 weeks for those 6 years. During Lendl's time
the season didnt end in Novemeber. It went up even during Christmas.
AO was held in late December. Also YEC was held around the same time.

It's only in recent yrs that slam fucking has occurred. Sure the slams
were always important but winning the YEC was for sure more important
than the AO til the late 80s, and being ranked #1 for a calendar year
also trumped it. The more we look at it the more we can see how great
