Mauresmo def. Jankovic 6-2, 0-6, 6-1

Seems like a bit of a wild-n-woolly match...anyone see it and can
report on how they played? How is it that Mauresmo is suddenly
playing so well? Or is it she just always does well at the Paris
Indoor?

Mauresmo was not that good but Jankovic sucked. Jankovic's coach going
ballistic was the only thing fun watching :)

The final will be boring...

Since I like both players it is going to be a most enjoyable final to
watch.

Rafa won't be tired & neither will Murray - should be a good one.

I didn't see this match, but saw lot of her matches this week, and she
has been playing really well. Based on this week's form of both
players, I thought she had a good chance against Jankovic.
Serena looked really good too during the week, but haven't seen
Dementieva at all this week, so hard to say about the final.

Looks like a Dementieva scoreline. Wow.

Take a deep breath, take a walk, cool off, plot a bit, and serve again.

I think Mauresmo gave up towards the end of the second set and used it
to practice net approaches (not a great idea because she kept getting
picked off!). The third set she tightened up and there were a few
critical games. Once she got a break ahead she could relax. Her serve
was quite potent, with the odd double thrown in.

I think it is a combination of settling in with her new coach, some
good results building confidence, and she looks fully healthy again.

Her overheads were superb.
