It's easier to punish his 2nd serve when you are lefty but for a
righty and one-handed backhand, it's not easy.
Of course it's doable with a lot of practice.

You've gotta look at hitting forehands not backhands ... run around the
backhand and hit a big forehand deep to get him on the defensive. It's
almost impossible to do this with a one-handed backhand - Dimitrov was
hitting good backhands but couldn't get any length on them and from there he
was toast. It's almost better to slice the backhand to a good length rather
than drive it but only hit the service line.

Getting the forehand into play is hard to do - but it's a mindset thing.
Someone said at the AO final that Federer should "give" Nadal the serve to
the forehand & shift his returning position across a bit more to his
backhand side. Sampras said that he only made any fist of returning Goran's
serve when he did the same thing. Dimitrov's return position was way over
towards the forehand side. Look for the second serve to the backhand and get
there for the big forehand return ... even if you miss it puts doubt into
Nadal's mind and forces him to make more first serves which can be easier to
deal with since there is less swing on them, or else put more serves into
the forehand which might introduce some uncertainty in his mind ... Nadal
currently operates a strategy of 90-95% serves into the backhand against
right-handers (particularly one-handers) ... gotta get him out of that
thinking ...

++ Nadal plays his first service game of a set quickly to get it over
with... does it well against Fed...

that's what players are going to be doing more and more to Nadal...
everyone has their issues and that's one for him...

More like Dimitrov doing NOTHING with that floating second serve from
Nadal... someone will eventually :))

And understandable just juvenile shot selection at times...
understandable... Nadal not able to blow the young Bulgarian out
though... interesting in and of itself...
