Jan 19, Melbourne, Australian Open tennis, Andy Murray:
"I'd like to thank my new agent Simon Fuller for the fantastic deals that he
has put together for me, and my new colleague David Beckham and his
beautiful wife Victoria for their support. Disappointing to lose in the
first round of a Slam but it gives me more time to help out my new sponsors.
So why not toast my defeat with a long, cool Castlemaine XXXX? Bonzer,
mate!"

Mar 6, Wimbledon, Andy Murray:
"I think it's fantastic that Scotland have advanced into the world group of
the Davis Cup for the first time, and I'd like to thank Highland Spring for
all their support."

May 25, Paris, French Open tennis, Andy Murray:
"Clay is not my surface, and another first-round loss is disappointing, but
Persil will soon take care of the stains. And a big thank-you to all the
guys at Perrier!"

Aug 1, Flushing Meadows, US Open first round, Andy Murray:
"Great to have the support of the home fans, David and Posh, and obviously a
disappointment to go out in the first round. But this is home territory for
my agent and many of my sponsors, so I should get lots of lucrative
face-time over the next 13 days."

Maybe. It's not my day today (and last night), so I've probably got that wrong
too. I had the the impression from the page that 2007 was the most recent.

that the tennis is out of the way I'm sure I can make the most of all the
promotional opportunities that will be coming my way. And a big thank-you to

And yes, Scotland, erm I mean GB, can play DC at Wimbledon.

The Wimbledon webste says DC has been played there 10 times since the end of
WWII, the most recent being v. Croatia in September 2007. I've never associated
Wimbledon with DC.

Yeah, I remember Murray's DC match vs Cilic at Wimbledon. It went to 5 sets.

I notice that they didn't use the hallowed centre court, though. They used court
1.

he was talking about Davis Cup if you read what he wrote.
