Serena's form needed to be better, and it WAS. her serving was excellent
and she showed no ill-effects of yesterday's grueling match.

Far from her best form, but if she plays this way in the final she'll
beat whoever she plays.

Especially if the roof is closed, which is bound to help her a lot.

Truly far from best form. This match was painful to my eyes the quality
was so low. Really a big hole since Henin and even Clijsters left. The
final should be about as exciting.

They might as well conduct the award ceremony and hand it
to SW. This is by far the easiest slam ever for her. She gets
erratic Russian headcases in QF, SF and F. Kuz shoula won,
but choked. ED was in the best form until she ran into SW,
got nervous and self-destructed. I don't expect any different
behaviour from Safina or Zvonareva, both known headcases.
This is perhaps as unfit as SW has ever been and is still
strolling to the title. A sad, sad commentary on women's tennis.
We have two Serbian pretenders, a French has-been, a bunch
of Russian headcases (and an oft-injured prima donna) and the
sistahs.

There's only one champ out there and that's SW. Venus is the
occasional champ who shows up at Wimbledon every year.

Hello cernunn:

Make that three fawners. Rod Laver, Stephen, and me. This is
Serena's best surface. More than likely Serena will play Safina in
the final, and it will be a very tough match.

Peace,

*puke* indeed. Well, I guess the sisters are entitled to one fawning
fan on rst. And they have exactly one.
