Should be interesting to see him in action ... can his father keep
himself under control?

Wejnert and Isabella Holland are also now in:

If Dokic can control her temper and has a good draw, she could
hopefully earn herself a wildcard to Sydney as well...

So Tomic and Dokic are in both Brisvegas and Melbourne. I'd love to
see Tomic do some damage but I suspect he'll be out pretty early, good
experience for him either way. If he could pull off a win early to mid
this year he'd better Hewitt's achievement of winning Adelaide at
16yrs 11 months, that would be something, a big ask though.

Can't they ban him, a la Damir Dokic?

Take a deep breath, take a walk, cool off, plot a bit, and serve again.

Dokic got a wildcard there too.

She won her wildcard, barely beating out some hot Aussie teenagers, in
particular Wejnert, who seems to be murder in pigtails, although needing
some work on the serve (haven't had a chance to see her play yet myself) . . . .

I don't know whether bans like on Damir go by the tourney or are ITF-wide,
but he is or was banned from the USO, IIRC after the Fish Incident.

(One almost sympathized with him over that-- apparently there's some
fairly serious price-gouging on food on-site at these things-- but that
may've just been the last straw, and anyway he reacted in true Damirean
fashion, taking a bad situation nuclear and ending up getting frog-marched
out by security.)

She won the wildcard to the AO; this is Brisbane.
