Who would have bet on this guy taking out the tournament favorite Andy
Murray and last year's finalist Tsonga?

These two are some imprerssive wins for this guy.

I've always been a fan of Verdasco - he's a good mover, good ball
striker, and has a monster forehand when he wants to use it. That
said, he and Nadal are good friends, and the difference in their
accomplishments is, especially in Verdasco PoV, astronomical. With the
extra confidence his DC play has given him, and just taking his
overall game into account, I think he *could*, in theory, beat Nadal.
However, I am doubtful as to how he'll handle the match mentally. I
definitely think that Tsonga's chances of producing either a win or ,
at the very least, an entertaining match would have been much higher.

Yup. Fernando Tabasco has been HOT in this tournament. Stepanek with two
bagels, Murray and Tsonga...Has even had toughest draw...

It's no certainty that he'll lose to Nadal. Especially considering that
friday match will probably be played rooftop on which Nadal does not
like. (this played a role today against Simon...Nadal's shots lose some
zip and bounce when roof on).

Hopefully the weather will allow roofless play on Sunday so that Nadal
can complete his surface slam.

I'm just afraid that he'll fall apart against Nadal.
