BS! Becker was a exceptional talent. Just have a look what he did to
your Pete in the indoor season 95, 96 when Becker was already old and
slow.

Correct, 1996 was the last decent year. With Becker. the last of the
85-96 titans vanished. Remaining uninspirational Agassi and boring
Pete who took the coming gifts in form of Slams.

Exactly...exactly.

Actually, the Truth.

Er, have you ever heard a player named Agassi?

yes, indeed. 1996-2002, the weakest 7 years of men's tennis.

The weakest has to be 1985 to 1987 by a very long way. Can you imagine
a 17 yr old winning Wimbledon today, & then following up following yr?
Only possible if Lendl was the top player.

We all know that since 1996 a clownish era began. Becker, Edberg,
Lendl, Wilander, Mac... all good players gone. Only Sampras stayed to
be gifted some slams for Whisper to get along.

Wait, I call bullshit on this.

Becker - won 1996 Australian Open and finals of YEC(classic 5 setter vs
Sampras)
Lendl - retired in 1993
Mac - retired in 1992
Wilander - retired in 1994

"The Truth" indeed.

Actually, there has been only non-clown year in all the history of tennis:
1995.
