He says he was.

"I have won three of the great titles, my second Roland Garros was so
special because I won with an injury, Wimbledon is my dream because I wanted
a grand slam on something other than clay and I had been to the finals
twice, so that was the one. That gave me so much self-motivation."

Sorry if that was known already, but if it was I missed it.

Since he didn't post medical documentation from a doctor I fail to see why
you believe him. Can you explain?

Where did you get that impression?

I am talking about the *information* itself. I don't recall hearing it at
the time.

But as we established, he was refering to his prolonged injury from Madrid
2005 I believe, not some injury he picked up while playing FO 2006.

Rafa doesn't makes excuses, unlike some multi-slam champ who shall
remain nameless. He reveals it several years after the fact when no one
cares, thus you know it's bona fide.

I highlighted it at the time. I also expected he would never recover
BUT it's only going to happen again. He's a ticking time bomb for
serious injury.

Yes, certainly looks that way the way he's gone from strength to strength.

Correct. He said it in a way like he was injured while playing.

sorry, my mistake.
He came from an injury:

A crack in a bone in his left foot forced Nadal to miss last year's
tour championships in Shanghai and this year's first Grand Slam event,
the Australian Open. The upside was that it allowed him time to get
his Spanish driver's license and improve his swimming ability, as he
did rehabilitation in the pool.

''I really didn't think there was any chance in the world that I'd be
back in the final at Roland Garros,'' he said.

The injury was of great concern to Nadal's uncle and coach, Toni,
because it required Nadal to be fitted with a new insole in his left
shoe that significantly changed the position of his foot.

''It really seemed for a while to me that he would never be able to
get back to this level,'' Toni Nadal said. ''It made it harder for him
to run, put the pressure in different places. I was concerned it might
make him more vulnerable. But, for the moment, obviously, it's not a
problem.''

So that's the injury he had since autumn 2005? The one that's been talked a
lot about?
Ok then, I though he picked something during the tournament.

Like he said, 2006, and I copied correctly.
Don't know what are you trying here.
