Subject: What Nadal v Federer rivalry ?
Ok ok, so i finally get around to fast forwarding through the AO
Final.

This is not a rivalry, it's a massacre. A mental massacre.

Nadal is so inside Federer's head at this point, it's long over.

As far as this stupid GOAT argument goes, I don't know what critiera
is used, but Federer is already up there, even if he doesn't win any
more Slams or gets back #1 ranking.

He may a shot at another Wimbledon or 2, but I think until other
players knock off Nadal, Fed is fucked.

Was a nice ride, all in one long 5 year shot.

Sampras should be more worried about Nadal at this point. Just on
Roland Garros alone, Nadal could rack up a good chunk towars 15
Slams . He's only 22 ?

His fitness level is unreal. We used to say Federer's pure skill was
unreal. Nada's conditioning is not human. 2 5 hours matches within 48
hours ? Beats Federer like a drum in 5th set ?

Forget it Roger, and thanks for the memories.

You have remove clay and grass from the h2h. Both are extreme
surfaces.

Anything can happen. It is a lot more fun to watch the games than to
make meaningless predictions.
For a while, it looked like Federer was finished with mono but he
surprised us by taking the US. Nadal=92s knees looked like they were all
worn out but he won two five setters to take the Australian.
Before the Australian, everybody was ready to make Murray the new #1
and give him the Australian. Do not forget Djokovic who was going to
dethrone Federer and now has trouble hanging on to #3.
We are all ready to give the French to Nadal but it is not over until
it is over.

If you include the SF and 3 F appearances at FO on clay, Federer
already better than Sampras. He just ran into who will undoudebtly
become the clay GOAT, a clay tennis machine in Nadal.

Federer may still win this year's Wimbledon, or 2. I have trouble
seeing him fade so fast on grass.

Mentally though, he seems beaten by his Spaniard kryptonite.

rst and the lemmings in it always seem to "follow the moment" and have
no foresight whatsoever. Roger will be around winning slams long after
Rafa is a afterthought. Just remember who said that first.

I agree Nadal is a big obstacle for Federer, maybe a fatal one, but it seems
to me you're bandwagoning.
It's possible Federer wins more slams from now on than Nadal.
Nothing is certain in tennis.
