Do they think people paid money to listen to them?

And why is the chair letting this crap go on?

He's a Bosnian-American, which evidently is close enough. Did you see
all the people in Kenya celebrating because Obama's father was a
Kenyan? Those who define their own identities through their
nationality can be expected to impose similar definitions on everyone
else.

Do you want more about it? That was not the issue, him being Bosnian.

Death to hyphens.

(But Sharapova's an American, no matter what she or the law sez-- the law

Well, at least they weren't out slaughtering each other on a tribal basis
at the time, or burning witches, or were they?

I'm just sayin' that if you must root for a country, you should only root
for one country at a time, the one you were born into and live in or if
an immigrant the one you last swore allegiance to.

I falied to see your point, no one betrayed anyone there.
Those fans who were rooting were "Australians" primarily, and the guys who
played were "American" and "Serbian".

It's not like if Australian Serbs or Greeks rooted against an Aussie player.
I guess it happened last year when Australian Greeks surely rooted for a
Cypriot Greek and against Aussie Lleyton Hewitt.

That would suit your remark much better. Not the thing that happened
yesterday.

And why should one root only for one country at a time?
Nicals Kiefer is half German half French, surely he supports both countries
similary in sporting events.

About one-quarter just to other parts of Europe, and the rest to the
Middle East and the Indian sub-continent, right?

I don't know, was there a Greek-American riot after Baghdatis-Fish?

It was just constant organized chanting and singing after every point,
with synchronized clapping (I don't think there was any synchronized
stamping but there might've been).

It was plainly organized, and constant, and really annoying, and surely
detracted from the uninvolved audience's enjoyment of the match, as much
as it did from mine.

As for the other crap, like the AO's recent Serbian-Bosnian Chair War
after Djokovic-Delic referenced in the linked article, the AO and other
Slam venues might well look into banning national symbols, flags, shirts,
etc, if only those of the nations involved in the expression of such
nationalist stupidities at each particular venue.

What gets me is, Delic isn't a Bosnian, he's an American, so what the
fuck? and, BTW, weren't and aren't the people involved in that crap
supposed to be Australians now?

Anyone who drags "home country" antagonisms into a country they've
immigrated to, and supposedly become citizens of, ought to be
denaturalized, deported and permanently banned from ever entering that
country again, as the nationalist thugs and liars (they supposedly swore
allegiance to their new country, remember) that they are.

Delic was born in Tusla (not Tulsa) and only moved to the US as a 14
year old.

A lot of these racists have moved to Australia, but don't regard
themselves as Australians. Or they may be overseas visitors. We welcome
their money either way.

What about their heart-warmingly "Old-World" ethnicist riots?

What about it?
Those quarrels are kinda "cuter" than those racial stuff you have over
there. :)
