Well, Rafa didn't exactly have an easy time finishing Roger off either
on grass.

Indeed, and they're booming! Tough economic times -- everything's for
sale or rent. :)

Bullshit. Federer in this kind of form can not be beaten on hard courts by
anyone. Just give him the trophy already.

You never know maybe he has point to prove i.e. that his davis cup win
wasnt just some debt he owes to spain or nadal.

If he neat Nadal then I'd defintely say Fed has more than chance of
winning the whole thing , maybe Fed paid him off before Toni did ??

We *all* know Fed. He plays by the rules. Rafa doesn't.

Thats the thing , Nadal ALWAYS plays his best against Roger , he
enjoys playing him a lot more than vice versa.

You remember how Courier used to own Agassi too or Agassi own Becker ?

Same thing now , Nadal could be playing shite and Roger like a god but
I believe is such mental moutain now its almost to high for him too
cross.

Ahhh

I see , well you have point I suppose if turns into one of those
matches - but will it ?

Roger would be doing well to play at that level again .

Considering you prediction of Simons reaching the final just fell flat

No. I picked Tsonga at the last minute after initially picking Simon.

BOTH made the QF's by the way. I didn't figure on this "ringer"
Verdasco being hired by Uncle Tony is all.

I'd give Roddick even more of chance in the final that I would Roger
at this point - well if he can keep up his serve.

Are you kidding? Federer is the favorite in a final against Nadal. Last
time he lost to him in HC is back in Dubai in 2006. And Roger is in
great shape now.

Nadal is playing well, no question. But he could easily have lost a set
to Simon today. He was in trouble both in second and third set. We will
see against Verdasco. If he destroys him in three short sets, I will
agree that he is looking very dangerous for Roger.

PS.

I agree that it's utterly ridiculous to write Federer off like that. otoh,
Nadal *is* serving far better this week than I've ever seen him do on hard
courts. There were a lot of points against Simon where he was basically
playing classic serve and volley from the baseline. But Simon cracked in a
way that Federer will *not* in a Slam final.

I really dont see any way out of this for Rogi , unless he can somehow
get an early jump and start building momentum early - if he doesnt

He's going to have to play out of his skin & hope Rafa is off.

Not likely to happen as Rafa will be very fresh & mega pumped for the final.
