Wittle Whithpy, you are really confused. Go to the principal and tell her that you want to be transfered to the "special" section.

Mac is most talented by a long way, but Sampras is best player in absolute terms - ie his strengths are big enough to make up the talent gap & win. Mac is possibly 2nd best in absolute terms (not talking talent here - following?), but Fed/Hoad may be no.2. Want me to type it again slower?

And while the arguments themselves have no merit, he uses them to obfuscate any problems with the Sampras legacy. He puts enough of this nonsense up, and he can at some point get to a thirder-order statement upon which he can argue with *apparent* solidity that Sampras has no weaknesses, sampras has a great backhand, Sampras's winning percentages are irrelevant, Federer's accomplishments amount to a bucket of spit, Lendl was barely a journeyman, usw, ad infinitum. None of these arguments make sense if you base them on the real world. So before he launches into them, he has to construct a set of premises from which his idiocies *do* follow. He relies on the fact that most readers only scrutinize the last few steps of a logical progression. Unfortunately, he's correct in that assumption, which is how he keeps his head above the flood of facts that is quickly overrunning his crumbling sandcastle. Of course, there are also plenty of us who know precisely what he's up to, but he just flings some more nonsense at us and moves right along. That, together with the fact that he *never* responds to the posts that *really* take him apart, lets him behave *as if* he were carrying the day. And as the last two US elections have shown us, that's enough for most people.

Completely wrong as I rate Fed very highly & Lendl in alltime top 15.

Anyone who knows tennis agrees Mac is by far the best tennis genius in history - Fed is very good from the baseline, but he's a long way behind Mac. > so Whisper calls Mac most talented. You're dumb. But DID Bill Gates say that he was poor? And did he mean it? Mac says that Federer is the most talented player and he BELIEVES it. So do a lot of others. In fact, I bet if you did a poll among all of the tennis analysts as to who the most talented player of all time was then I will bet you $100 that Federer will win the poll.
