If Nadal makes the final, no matter Federer, Murray, he wins it.

Be honest. Won't your version of highlights feature only Pete's
winners
and none of Fed?
Oh, I forgot, Fed's one of your favourites and Pete isn't. Sorry!

Can we see those backhanded compliments to Sampras again? My hard drive
is so empty. ;-)

No - but people criticised Erich because his highlights favoured
Federer. There was no obligation on Erich to produce any sort of
highlights at all, or if he did, to do so in any way other than he
felt like it.

There was nothing to stop anyone else doing the same thing in a way
which suited them, but no-one ever did.

Yes, obviously. Though it seems some people regard the role of people
like him (and Erich) as to provide useful services for the rest of
us ...

I think it's more accurate to say that's *Hops* only use for rst. Hops
has plenty more to contribute to rst, but chooses not to, for obvious
reasons.

Wrong - his purpose was to post clips of Federer's winners.

You know what happened to me recently?

I showed Erich's Wimbledon final highlights to a friend who also likes
tennis, and the first thing he said to me after watching the clip for a few
minutes was: "what is this, all the points are won by Federer, it was not
like this".

Exactly my feeling after watching those wimby highlights.

And I think he left out perhaps the best shot of the match...in 5th set
at 7-7 the first point where Federer sliced very close to the net but
Nadal lifted it over the net effortlessly for a powerful outright
winner. Probably none else is able to pull off that shot so close to the
net.

And before I get criticism for this opinion too...that Nadal passing
shot in 4th tiebreak plus Fed's backhand passing shot after that were
brilliant too.

He left one of the best Fed's point, the point when Nadal served at 40-30
8-7 in the fifth, Federer saves third match point with faboulous backhand
return.

Not if Sampras had done it.
